Frequently Asked Question
My computer will not turn on. What should I do?
Last Updated 3 days ago
If your desktop computer or laptop will not turn on, follow these basic troubleshooting steps:
- Check the power source. Make sure the power outlet is working and the power cable or charger is firmly connected.
- Check the power adapter. For laptops, verify that the charger and charging indicator are working, if available.
- Disconnect accessories. Remove unnecessary USB devices, external drives, and other peripherals, then try turning on the computer again.
- Perform a power reset. Shut down and disconnect the power supply. For a laptop, disconnect the charger and follow the manufacturer's instructions for a power reset. Do not remove a built-in battery.
- Try turning it on again. Observe whether any lights, fans, beeps, or error messages appear.
If the computer still does not power on, stop troubleshooting and contact 1King Technical Support.
When requesting assistance, provide: the computer brand, model serial number, purchase date if available, a description of what happens when you press the power button, and any visible error indicators.
Important: Do not open the computer's power supply or attempt repairs involving internal electrical components.
